Conflict, like narcotics & yellow journalism, is a fact of life. However bad you think it is today, it's still nothing like it was during the lynch mob era, when we were inhaling tetraethyl lead out of tailpipes. However, just because the average IQ is higher today doesn't mean that we're above conflict, only that we're more sophisticated in conducting it. Insults are the gentleman's fists.

The only thing about that which should frighten anybody is the notion that we've plateaued & will remain stuck in the disinformation/defamation era, where narratives erase facts & no one can see the woods for the trees. The internet, that which was to unify the tribes of mankind under one village, has served only as a new vector to push propaganda.

Morality is subjective, so it is not in our nature to, nor is it any wonder why we haven't come under one belief. After all, there's always the risk that said unifying belief could be wrong.

^ You know, that's a good idea for a vidya. :D

But just to be clear, fuck those fagets for trying to cut off my freedom of speech.

Oh boy, a game? Does that make this a collab?

Probably not, but it's a cool thought. More akin to the short experience variety kind of "game", I think...
*takes notes*

Come to think of it, We Become What We Behold did something similar. I actually thought of that game while writing my post.

Sounds like the kind of post someone who uses fruity loops would type. ^_~ More seriously though, I remember a blog a few years back which studied how shocking people can behave with their wording while behind the computer versus what they'd say or keep in their heads in real life.

It can feel a bit like Lord of the Flies sometimes, but ultimately we all have the choice upon waking each day, whether we'll be reasonable, responsible, care beyond ourselves and be conscious of the people/world around us.

I figured you always expressed yourself openly like this. :) Well, I'm glad you share your thoughts more readily now, there's good stuff in the that noggin/heart of yours.^^

Thank you ;) I think it's also easy to forget there's real people behind a monitor screen. I've had peers who would behave pretty tamely if you just talked to them, and then you'd see them spew relentless hate online like it's bread and butter. Internet sociopathy isn't news, it's always happened, and the medium of text -- which is already flawed in itself -- has more potential for making everything sound like it's a big deal when it's probably just a misunderstanding. It doesn't help that these days we don't get much reaction time either, aside from emails probably, lol. There's little time to think before writing. That's a biased broad generalization anyways, take it with a grain of salt.
